What The Host Enjoys Most

Jody Van Roekel is a regular listeener of the showm and a a regular at trivia Monday nights. He's also the one you can call when you forgot to pay your tab. He got it all taken care of. He's also the one that gives me crap regularly and I take it and he knows I take it from him. Regarless he is an awesome persosn!

Dakota Crow is my best friend and strongest branch of what I call FRamily—friends you consider family. It’s his birthday Friday and he deserves the Happiest of Birthdays. Love You Brother!

South Dakota Sunsets serve as therapy for me. The picture on this page is an example of one  a friend sent me. Often people wonder why I chose purple and orange for so many of my logos. The sweetest sunset I every saw (sadly before we had cameras on cell phones to capture it) was in mid October over 25 years ago. It was shining down on a lake which reflected the image perfectly. Doesn't matter that I don't have a print of it, but that image is stuck in my mind of how amazing purple and orange look together. 

Cami  Powers  along with her husband and brother will be purchasing Brookings Radio meaning their will be local ownership in local radio. Hopefully it sets a trend.

Charity McKnightm is our landlord. We appreciate how she allows us to take pride in our abode.

Will Anderson at Trio Jazz Club is a true mixologist. Not just drinks, he has mastered seating arrangement as well.

The Breaks  downtown Sioux Falls has great cpoffee and a unique atmosphere to have your favorite cup of Joe. You just might spot a particular podcast host & His Love on a Sunday morning. :)

Bone-in Ribeye/Tomahawk Steak.  I've had a few in some very classy nationally recognized steak houses. But the absolute best one I've ever tasted is the one My Love grilled last summer (2025). When the meat counter prices go on sale  we typically get one, which can feed both of us and still have some leftover for either a true steak sandwich or steak and eggs.

Nicole Eastman  is one of my favorite servers and is no doubt my fave massage therapist.

I love Glen Campbell music. I was lucky enough to interview him. I asked him  what  makes a song become a hit. He told me, "A greaat writer. And I have the best.  Jimmy  Webb." My fave lyric is from Wichita Lineman. "I need you more than want you. And I want you for all time."

I have a huge list I could share, but the one I will stop doing everything when it comes up on TV is A Few Good Men.  It has a number of great quotes besides "You can't handle the truth." My love for the movie is how it makes you consider the oaths our military personnel  take versus the ramifications they face for breaking an order.
