About Dave Holly

     When he was only four years old he put on a one-kid Christmas show for his family. He went to the extent of gluing cotton balls to his face to porttray Santa.

     Around Junior High, he started doing celebrity impressions.

     High School got him to thinking what he wanted to do in life. He was THE school photographer while only a freshman. He was also first chair baritone--the first ever freshman selected for any first chair.  That led to Jazz Band where he won the Louie Armstrong Jazz Award as a senior. 

     In the midst of all that he was still thinking photography would be his profession until one Saturday night he called a friend to see if he was coming to town. He asked who was calling. He told him it was Dave. He said, "You have a great voice. Have you thought about doing radio?" 

     He immediately switched to having radio on my mind. He worked in radio straight out of college. Radio has changed drastically since he was last in it, but he still has great memories of when it was fun despite the wages.

     He had heard of podcasting but knew little bit about it. Didn't know how many episodes it would last. Hiswife predicted three. We have now over 300 and still going strong.

     He loves being on stage no matter what that stage is. If  his memory were sharp enough and his balance didn't require a cane, Hewould love to be involved more in theater. Instead, he promotes local productions heavily on the show. 

     It may be a niche market show but he plans on doing it for quite some time. He always tells his guests it's just a conversation where his passion is learning about their passions in the arts. He's extremely curious about the start they had, how that still drives them and what they still want to accomplish.

     He loves the lady he calls "My Love". He loves their wonderful Cavachon puppy Charlie. He loves friends he considers FRamily. He loves music of all types but favors jazz ; despite not being an aficcionado ge considers himself a very big "Apprecianado". He Loves Arts & Entertainment in the Sioux Empire (Sioux Falls SD metro area). He loves baseball and is a die hard Chicago Cubs fan!

     He could go on and on about who he is and what he's done in the past--including a decade  being a professional clown. So come back to this page often and see what has been addded.
